The governing body of the Hartland Area Historical Society is a nine member Board of Trustees. Trustees are elected for a three-year term by the membership at the Annual Meeting. Trustee positions left vacant by resignation are filled by appointment of the Board. Only elected trustees are eligible to be officers. The immediate past president serves on the Board, should that person's term as trustee have expired. The Board meets on the second Monday of the month at 7 pm at the Florence B. Dearing Museum.
