Hartland Area Historical Society
Receives Donations from State and Local Questers

Our November "Thanksgiving" potluck was truly a memorable evening. We are forever grateful for the fabulous financial assistance we have received this year from both state and local questers. Before the program, State Quester President Margaret Melville along with Stagecoach Inn Questers Past President Carolyn Lynch presented society President Tom Parshall with a $4,000 check from the State Questers. The money is to be used to build a special display case for the Collection's thirty-six star US flag. The offical flying dates for this flag were July 4, 1865 - July 3, 1867.

In June, the historical society received $5,300 from the Stagecoach Inn Questers of Hartland and the Dibbleville Questers of Fenton. The money, proceeds from the Spring Antique Show, was earmarked for the repair/replacement of the windows at the Florence B. Dearing Museum. The presentation was made by Beth Hammond, current Stagecoach Inn President; Margaret Melville, State Questers President; and Barbara Krueger, Questers member and co-chair of the antique show.
