Memorial Day celebrations in Hartland begin on the Sunday before Memorial Day with an evening Luminary Walk in the Hartland Village Cemetery. Reenactors stand beside soldier's graves and talk about the soldier. Memorial Day morning starts with a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Hartland Lion's Club. At 10 o'clock there is a memorial service in the Parshallville Cemetery and at the millpond dam in Parshallville. Then it's back to Hartland for a service at the Hartland Mill Pond site followed by a color guard and band procession to the Hartland Cemetery. The cemetery service is followed by a huge parade at noon complete with antique cars, bikes, floats, scouts, dogs and horses. The Florence B Dearing museum is open for tours. In the afternoon activities move to Epley Park with a concert, food vendors and games for the children.
